To use Eigenlayer services, AVS need to pay the restakers. The most obvious currency for restaking rewards to be settled is obviously $ETH.
However, not every AVS has the ability to earn $ETH, especially for alt L1 or services built on top of alt L1 (aka projects that are outside of the Ethereum ecosystem). Since most crypto projects issue their own tokens, do you think tokens other than $ETH should be accepted for restaking rewards?
