DID3 introduces a decentralised identity system built on Solana using Actively Validated Services (AVS). It allows trusted institutions like banks or governments to issue verifiable credentials (VCs) through the AVS to users. These credentials enable users to access institutional-grade DeFi protocols globally while keeping their identity data private to the AVS operator. Utilizing zero-knowledge proofs (ZKPs) ensures secure validation and verification by AVS without revealing private information. AVS operators verify the credentials, with a slashing mechanism to punish fraudulent activity and reward accurate validations, ensuring both security and accountability.
