# Is Eigenlayer taking any protocol fee?

Is the fee generated from AVSs only going to **AVS operator/developer** and **restakers**? or EigenLayer taking any fee cut? if so how much?

I’m not sure if EigenLayer currently has a fee switch in place. That said, I understand the rationale that **prioritizing AVS bootstrapping over taking additional fee cuts** makes sense at this stage.

However, it would be helpful if the **EigenLayer team explicitly clarified its current stance and future intentions** regarding fees. Is there a long-term commitment to keeping fees at zero, or could this change in the future? If so, under what conditions?

Transparency on this would provide **greater predictability for AVSs and node operators** , ensuring they can make informed decisions when integrating with EigenLayer.
